Roles and Responsibilities

Roles
Technical Game Designer:

- Design & Prototype ideas
- Make iterations on designs
- Playtest features
- Bugfixing

Feature Team Lead of the Sailboat:
- Lead team during meetings on weekly goals
- Make sure all disciplines are working towards the same deadline goals
- Present our progress in clear presentations and reports to rest of team and stakeholders

Responsibilities

- Concepted the core gameplay idea around the sailing aspect we were tasked with making according to the game brief we were given.

- I lead the feature team who made the entire sailboat,
which is a vehicle that behaves according to
wave-patterns and velocity based on the wind-system
hitting the sails.

- I also prototyped and researched other mechanics for the game outside the boat, like the compass system.

- Made a VFX system for the wind, this would make it clearer for the player which way the winds were flowing, this was needed for the sailing system I made.

- During pre-production I made a Design Tool.
This reduced the overtime of restarting the game,  testing and write down findings.
